FAQ

Specifics of international private law.

Our team promises to make every effort to continuously act in your best interest, ensuring the success of each case.

Why can’t I do this myself?

Our team of experts has the knowledge and the expertise to get you the best results possible. We understand that each case is unique and it requires different steps to be taken. Our ultimate goal is to eliminate the charge using the power given to us by the law.

How long will my traffic ticket stay on my record?

The conviction will stay on your record for 3 years from the conviction date (or the plea guilty date). The demerit points that are assigned by the Ministry of Transportation for certain charges will stay on your record for 2 years from the offence date (the day you received the ticket).

Can you guarantee to win my case?

As of 2008, all paralegals are regulated under the Law Society of Upper Canada. As set out in the “Paralegals code of conduct” it is unethical to guarantee a WIN and just like lawyers, we can only promise to get you the best possible result. That could be dismissing the case all together, which is what we aim for, to getting a lesser charge that would affect your driving history and Insurance premium the least.

Can I request a meeting with the prosecutor and fight my own ticket?

You can. However, a meeting with the prosecutor only guarantees a conviction, be it of a lesser charge. Your only option is to plead guilty, and a conviction will appear on your record. In this scenario, you forfeit the right to question the evidence before you, and the prosecutor does NOT have to prove your guild.
